FUNDING
The Belediye are giving their full support to the project and have promised assistance with the loan of some musical/sound equipment, Canal 21 television, generator, barriers, flags, bunting, road banners and other general items.
We believe that all other costs of the event could be fully funded by seeking sponsorship from local businesses in return for the opportunity to promote their companies, brands and products, e.g. local supermarkets, banks, petrol stations, estate agents, newspapers and other such businesses. We also hope that corporate sponsors will provide prizes and cups/shields in return for free advertising. Businesses/individuals sponsoring cups and trophies so far include Fethiye Belediye, Kismet Bar, Taurean Properties, The Land of Lights, Sausage King of Bodrum and Kamil Koç.
Other sponsors include Baris Insurance, Turkish Holiday Rentals, Alarko, Pera Organization, Delta Bike and More, Çubklu Hayal Kahvesi Bar, Orkide Flower Shop, SB Yachting and the Remer, Pelin and Malhun Hotels.
Two bank accounts have been set up specifically for the Carnival project with all of the charity money being deposited in a high interest account. These accounts are being overseen by FETAV and the Belediye.
The free English newspaper, Land of Lights, which is distributed throughout the Fethiye region, has kindly given us own own regular column in which to publicise the carnival and all of the fund raising activities throughout the year.
They have also kindly agreed to provide a cup for the best School entry in the Carnival parade.
