Fifteen youngsters have recently been kitted out with new school uniforms thanks to the Çalış Carnival.

As part of the allocation of the 2009 Carnival Charity funds, 1000 TL was set aside to provide new school uniforms for children from local poor families whose parents did not have the money to buy them new clothes. The 15  children who were identified as needing help by FETAV (Fethiye Tourism, Culture and Environmental Education Foundation) whom the Çalış  Carnival operate under,  received full sets of uniform for the start of the new school term.
